YOUNG TALENT – Frey Franzén Garuz

Frey was born in April 2007 and is a young promising violinist living on the island of Gotland.

Frey started playing the violin at the age of six and chose quite rapidly to concentrate on classical music. Frey has during his time of playing had pedagogical support from teachers such as Maria Wernberg, Emilio Estrada, Annika Nummelin and as of present with the Polish violinist Kristoffer Dolatko (mainly via Skype).

Frey participates in the Young Strings' Academy at the National Center for Talent development in Vänersborg (SWE), to which he travels some six times per year (now digital). 2018-19 he participated in the summer orchestra camp of Jeunesse Austria in Mariazell. Frey has in summer 2020 participated in the Master Class program at Orford Arts Center in Canada (digital due to the Covid-19) and is now approved to partake in the Polstjärne course 20/21.

Frey is now in 7th grade and goes to the Solberga school in Visby
